Winter Break 2011 is HERE ♡

Alright. Here's an update on the events that happened within the last 3 weeks or so:
1. I had my audition for the Central Jersey Music Education Association (CJMEA) thingy.

2. I made it into the Wind Ensemble (they only accepted four flutes, and I was the third)

3. The last two weeks, I had a lot of tests and projects due for different classes all within a week of each other. It was horrendous.

4. Friday was the last day of school in 2011--We had a half day, so each of our classes were shortened to forty-five minutes. I got to miss about half of first period, all of second period, and half of third period, because I had to perform in the Wind Ensemble for the in-school concert/listen to the Chamber Orchestra (with Orchestral Winds) perform a really long song. The song was pretty good though, I didn't fall asleep. ^.^

5. Yesterday, Christmas Eve, I went to an Asian party in Princeton and met up with family friends. I ate a lot of foood and hung out with people >.> I really wish we had more Asian parties, there was one year where one of the family friends each hosted one each day, and that was fun.

Anyway, today is Xmas! Yayyy... This morning, I woke up at 9, which is pretty good, considering I went to bed around 2am, and I got to open presents. From family friends, I got $30 from amazon.com and $30 in a debit card (ooh deeeebit caaaard $.$ ^.^ haha), and from my parents, I got a sweater, a pair of boots, and a camera.

Sweater: Aeropostale, red knit
Boots: Michael Kors, tall black suede with a 2-inch heel
Camera: Olympus E-PL1.

So yeah, pretty excited about that.

December 2011 Pokémon Profile Picture Month

So, this is the one I chose this year :)

SHO CAYUTE~

Hehe ^.^

I don't know, last year I made a big deal and started drawing pokemon randomly due to some peoples' requests... But this year, I probably am not going to do that. I mean, I guess I probably have a lot more work to do, but honestly, I just don't feel like it anymore. I'm a sophomore... And I guess that shouldn't stop me from trying to have fun, but honestly I feel like such a loner all the time, when I'm not in school. When I'm in school, I'm like a wild animal with my friends. Well, as wild an animal I could possibly be without getting into trouble (although I had dropped the F-Bomb in front of my PreCalculus teachers that one time I was yelling at Alina for returning my Christmas gift to her for last year's Christmas). I don't know... I don't do any extracurricular in school, and I don't hang out with friends on weekends. I doubt all of my friends really hang out that often, but probably more than I do. The only social event that I've been to so far this year is Homecoming. Hopefully I'll be able to go to Coffeehouse next week (But I'd only go if like Mrs. Arizona, Po, or Sheila are going). Yes, I just used code names for my bffls :) Haha

Anyway... No makeup stuff today. I just didn't have the energy to look through YouTube (which got a new look yesterday) and MakeupAlley to see the next big thing for makeup. I left my gym bag in school, and I had to miss my bus home to look for it. Fortunately, my mom had a day off today and was able to pick me up. But eversince I got home, I was just really tired. I guess it's what happens when you only sleep for about five to six hours every night for five days in a row. Last year I complained about only having six hours, but now it sometimes goes to five. Sigh~ That' the nature of high school, I guess. If you're a compulsive person like I am.

There are exactly fourteen more school days until Christmas right now. I should probably decide what I want. I'll make a list of things I want this year, I guess. Maybe on Monday. But I really can't wait. I mean, even if vacation is only 8 days this year, it's better than no vacation. Sigh, why can't we have a longer vacation like kids in California, where it doesn't even snow? T.T Ah well.

The Catcher in the Rye-- Holden is SO annoying.

It's amazing. I thought I was going to like Holden, because he seemed like he was the type of person to hate phonies. Turns out, he's the most annoying "goddam sunovabitch bastard" I've ever read about. Things that annoy me include his repetitiveness, his profane language, and the idea that the world is a phony. Ugh.

Daily Cravings:
Today, it's all Maybelline! :)
  • Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush:
Peach Satin (peachy), Pink Frosting (cooler pink), and Plum Blush (darker)-- It's apparently really creamy, and blends easily after you dab only a little bit on your face. It seems cool, and like something I would want.
  •  Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation:
Supposedly really creamy as well in texture. It has a pump, which is good. I just discovered that my skin is not as oily as I thought it was (only somewhatly in my T-Zone, but not much), so I could say that I have normal to combination skin, which other people say is good for this type of foundation.

I just realized. I lied. There's one more thing that's not from Maybelline, and that's the
  • NYX Slide On Pencils, in Pure White (second to last), Glitzy Gold (only gold one), Platinum (metallic one next to white), Tropical Green(darkest green), Azure (lightest blue), Sunrise Blue (darker blue next to lightest blue), and Purple Blaze (right side purple). They're $8 each, so if I get all... seven of them, that would be about $56. Yay. -__- Ah well.
Anyway, gotta go read Catcher in the Rye and write quotes. And study for chem test tomorrow. Later~

Three Paragraph Essay

Well, today I took another AP U.S. History test. It was... Not too bad.
The thing is, though, I had literally 20 minutes to write a 4-5 paragraph essay which is being evaluated against an AP scale for grading essays. After thinking about it for about 5 minutes, I started writing. So the actual physical writing time I got was approximately fifteen minutes. So, instead of a four or five paragraph essay, I was only able to write three. I wonder what my teacher is going to think...

The actual Multiple Choice section really wasn't that bad. I could guess my way through a lot of them (Either the questions are a lot easier than they were in the beginning of the year, or I'm just getting more used to taking these AP tests). Either way.

Daily Cravings:
A new mascara. The ones I am currently looking to buy are:
  • L'Oreal Clean Definition Telescopic
  • L'Oreal Voluminous
  • Maybelline Full n' Soft
  • Maybelline Lash Stiletto Ultimate Length
  • Rimmel Glam Eyes Lash Flirt
Lastly: Purple eyeliner, to bring out brown eyes :)

Her eyes would be stunning, if she wasn't wearing circle lenses

♡ November Wishlist 2011--Milani

Alrighty, another wishlist! I'm thinking of Christmas gifts that I want this year, but for now, I will be posting makeup products that I want~
Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso

From Milani:
Baked Blush in Luminoso

This is a shimmery blush, but it's peachy, so it's not too "pink". No, I do not have this product, since this is a "Wishlist" Post, but I have done my research, which includes photos, video reviews, and other blog posts. As you can see in this photo, it's shimmery, but when you put it on, it isn't as shimmery as what you think (which is good, because I'm okay with a little shimmer, but not too much).
Milani Mineral Blush in Luminous
Mineral Blush in Luminous
This blush was said to be a dupe for the NARS blush in Orgasm, and is highly raved about. I think it's a nice pretty color, and a little more fun than the previous blush. I'd probably wear the Luminous in the spring, whereas I'd wear the Luminoso in the fall (which is now! ish. I mean, it's almost December, but I'd still wear it anyway, if I had it ^.^).

I hope I'm going to be able to find these blushes. It is said that only CVS carries the Milani brand. Before I talk about the last Milani product that I want, I'd like to say that these are about $6-$7, and are probably worth it.

Liquif Eye Metallic Eyeliner Pencil

The last Milani product that I really want is the Milani Liquif Eye Liner. I really wish they had a purple eyeliner (I researched that brown eyes really pop with purple eyeliner), but according to my research, these liners are the equivalent of high end brands (like Urban Decay) and is really pigmented, creamy, and smooth. Also, it has about 5 hours of staying power. The current eyeliner pencil I have is 1. requires about 5 swipes to get good pigmentation, 2. is tiny, 3. really dry, and 4. wears off after less than 1 hour.

So yeah, I need a new eyeliner. And this one is, again, a drugstore product, so it's probably cheap, but really good quality.

Updations on LIFE

Well, it's been a while since I updated before a few days ago, which was just me reminding the world that I am a girl. Lawl. >.>

Anyway. Sophomore year. Swag. Something we Asians got. I just learned this acronym like last week. I thought, personally, that my life as a sophomore was going to be really simple. I was only taking ONE AP class (while a lot of my other friends are taking two, or only taking AP Chem or AP U.S. History). I was taking AP U.S. History and only Honors Chemistry. To be quite honest, I'm working on Chem RIGHT NOW. Why? Because I had a 68% as my MP1 Grade. Yeah.

Let me first explain something about my teacher. She is from a Beijing, China (Tsinghua University), which, according to my dad, is one of the top schools in China. And you know how China is. Asians. SMART PEOPLE. Everywhere. Kind of. (Well, more smart people than other countries). And when she came to America, she went to Columbia to get her Ph.D. I will probably never have a smarter teacher in my life.

However, coming into Honors Chemistry, I've heard from the people a year older than me that: 1. Since she taught AP Chem last year, a lot of people failed. And 2. Chemistry honors is about 4/9 as hard as AP Chem. So, coming into Sophomore year, I expected chem to be an easy A.

Then. Bah-BAYUM. I have this extremely smart and difficult AP teacher who, by the way, no longer teaches AP. When I first saw her on my schedule, I was like Oh my God. Not "omg", I said "Oh my God". I've heard horror stories about her, and she is now my teacher for the sophomore year. On the second day of school (Since I have her on B Days), I met her. She let us do this "ice breaker" activity, where we play Two Truths and One Lie. So here I am thinking, wow, the upperclassmen have fooled me again. For the next class onward for two weeks, we had to go and learn "Unit 0", which was about significant figures, scientific notation, and graphing. Which is easy.

HOWEVER. I get a 66% on the Unit 0 test. IT TURNS OUT that when she asks us to use significant figures, she wants the WHOLE PROCESS of finding the answer to be in the CORRECT significant figure. I didn't really have trouble with scientific notation, but even with graphing, she took off points because I didn't use significant digits when I found the slope of this best-fit line, and didn't write a title of the graph. Etc.

I could go on and on about chem, but I really don't want to.

Hmm... I think I should randomly say my schedule:
A Days:
  1.  AP U.S. History
  2. Physical Education
  3. Mandarin II
  4. PreCalculus
B Days:
  1. Chemistry Honors
  2. Wind Ensemble
  3. Study Hall
  4. English 10 Honors
AP U.S. History is a whole different ball game. I only got a 90% average last year in World Studies, which was a really fun class because my teacher was a really good teacher and the tests were really easy. Also, I was coming into AP U.S. History just because my friend told me that it's "the easiest AP class you can possibly take".

We took an essay on the second day of class about Rise to Rebellion, a book that I managed to finish the day before, even if I was supposed to finish it over the summer. I got a 60% on it, probably the lowest grade in the entire class. He graded it not based on writing skills, but if you included EVERY PART of the question that MOST PEOPLE overlooked. So a lot of people got 70s because they didn't include this SPECIFIC part of the question. However, my teacher didn't think that the colonists burning down Governor Tom Hutchinson's house was considered a "main event" that worsened the relationships between the British and the Colonists, which ultimately lead to the Revolutionary War and Independence. -__-

It's also really frustrating because I didn't go trick or treating this year because I stayed home and studied for an APUSH test, and only got a 74% on it.

I got a 79% in the first marking period of APUSH. SO CLOSE TO A B. T.T I can't believe I'd be happy with a B. APUSH IS RUINING MY LIFE. Within the first two weeks, I was considering dropping out of chemistry honors and APUSH. However, I persuaded myself not to, because I'm not a quitter. ^.^ This can be a good AND a bad quality of mine, because it also means I don't know when to quit when I should. Ah well.

Otherwise, everything else is fun. I usually play cards with my friends in Study Hall on B days. Except for a few days ago where I had to do these notecards (30 due, I did 15 but lost all of them so I had to redo everything) and spent all of lunch and 30 minutes into study hall finishing them. Which is pretty amazing, I have to say. I had never worked so diligently on anything in my life. EVER. Well, maybe not "ever", but not very often has such an event happened. Even my friends were impressed. Lol...

Yeah. School rant/update.

♡ October 2011 Wishlist ♡

As most people know, 11/11/11 at 11:11 has recently passed. It's hard to believe I've been waiting for that day since 2008... But back then, my wishes that I made every day at 11:11 am/pm were about doing well in school, getting over my first crush, and being the best flutist in the school. Wow. To be completely honest, I was really procrastinating what my wish was going to be. 11/11/11 comes once in a lifetime! Unless I happen to live up to be 115 years old. I was torn between being happily married eventually and being successful in life.
~~
Anyway, here's a wishlist of the material-items I want:
1. Sigma Sigmax Brushes
It's funny. I want these makeup brushes, yet I don't even use makeup. But I've just watched so many reviews about them, and what I've got from them was that they are soft, dense, and really good quality for about 16 dollars each. These are the Flat Top (for liquid Foundation), Round Top (For Liquid, Cream, and Powder products), and Angled Top (Blush and Contouring) Kabukis. I also want a powder brush ($19). Me and my neediness.

2. Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters
Starting from the second shade: Strawberry Shortcake, Peach Parfait, and Creme Brulee

Berry Smoothie and Sweet Tart are two other shades that I want. Hehe... They are very highly talked about on youtube at this point. They are basically tinted moisturizers with really good pigmentation. Also can be thought of as really glossy and moisturizing lip sticks. Considering the fact that each is about $7, and I want five of them... Yeah, I wouldn't pay that kind of money ($35, for you math fans out there) for the same lip product in different colors.
3. Tall dark brown suede boots
Yeah, I just think a dark, chocolately brown would really slim down my legs. And the long boots would not only be warm and cozy but also lengthening on my calves. Also, the suede, in my opinion, gives the boots a more elegant feel. I'm not going to lie; UGG boots don't particularily appeal to me in appearance, but they definitely got something right: The suede outer material.
This specific pair of boots is is from Vera Wang, and costs about $350. Yay... There is absolutely no way I am going to get any of this stuff lol.
Anyway, my appologies to my readers out there. I haven't updated in a whole four months (I've been meaning to since my Birthday arrived a few months ago). Life as a sophomore is kind of hard, I'm not going to lie. I thought I'd go easy with not taking two APs like the rest of my friends, but my Chemistry teacher is legitimately killing me softly. Yet she's like one of the nicest AND smartest teachers I know. The drama is not really heating up (But I'm not really provoking any), and I sort of just want to concentrate on school. And obsess over makeup brushes, lip butters, and boots. ♡
Oh, and P.S. I'm going to rename my blog. Still brainstorming, though. ^.^

Hurricane Irene

So far, this hurricane has been a thorn in my side all day.
I was supposed to meet up with a friend I haven't seen in a while in Princeton Twnshp, and guess what? It's canceled. Why? Hurricane Irene.

My family was supposed to have an Asian party gathering thing that we do occassionally. I was really looking forward to it because we haven't hosted one in a while among our circle of Asian family friends. And guess what? It's canceled. Why? Hurricane Freaking Irene.

So. Instead of preparing for the party gathering thinger, I have a lot of free time to do other things. Such as? Math. Why? Hurricane WHYDOYOUHATENEWJERSEYSOMUCH Irene.
Sighers. :\

Ah well. Hopefully this both Princeton trip and Asian party will be rescheduled to a later time.

Earthquake in New Jersey

Okay, so apparently, I've witnessed my first earthquake.

It was strange, our house shaking and swaying. The floor of the house was moving so violently back and forth, and the walls started to cave in--

JUST KIDDING.

I. felt. NOTHING. Apparently a lot of people spanning from Ewing to Montgomery to Franklin felt the earthquake. And so did my dad in New York, because he called my mom to tell her about it.
But no, I don't get to experience, not me, because I never get to have any fun :(

Ah well. Short post. I'll elongate it wite a picture of a sine function, just to get y'all in the mood, trigonomically

China 2011

Well... I have to say that many more things went wrong this year than in previous years. I got sick like twice (including annoyingly painful stomach-aches and diarrhea), once from probably my hands not being clean, and the second by drinking spring-water that was supposedly clean but still bacteria-filled. Also, I got into more arguments with my sister, and while climbing Huang Shan (Yellow Mountain), my sister was really misbehaving and got into a fight on our ONLY night on top of the mountain after a really REALLY long day of climbing. I also got into a fight at my grandma's house, which was really embarrassing, especially because my grandma only turned her head for no more than 3 minutes to get some lunch ready. -_- My sister also slightly ruined the screen cover on my iPod and slightly destroying my iPod case, along with deleting some of my apps while I was napping and my grandma said to let her have my iPod and cool down (She doesn't really understand the high tech stuff and what's on it/WHAT WAS ON IT AND IS NOW DELETED). Of course, I redownloaded everything, but it just made me very pissy.

Now that I've gotten that bad stuff out of the way...

OH MY FREAKING GOSH. I WANT TO GO BACK TO SHANGHAI.

I mean, yes, I know I go every year. And yes, more things went wrong this year. But... I don't know. I felt more used to the apartment we stayed in. It really was a second home. My grandparents (both sets) are just so sweet to us when we come over, and now that I'm older, I can finally fully appreciate it (When I was younger, and they displayed their kindness, I always slightly refused some of the gifts and food they tried to give to me just because my parents told me not to accept it because I'd get fat/shouldn't accept from the elderly... I didn't realize that they did this for me because they loved me so much). My maternal grandparents try to give us so much money and gifts, along with feeding us their homemade food that taste absolutely amazing. My paternal grandparents always took us out to eat and also gave us money and gifts (my grandma knitting me a scarf as one of these gifts).

But another reason I want to go back because life in America is SO BORING. I mean, eversince I got back, all I did was math, check Facebook from time to time, and chat a little bit. When I was in China, we climbed like 10 kilometers worth of mountain (climbing as in ascending stairs of the mountain), visited the China Pavilion from the Expo, ate lunch/dinner pretty much everyday with a set of relatives, and got to watch the FINA competitions (swimming/diving/etc.). Of course, it was in Chinese, but hey, I don't need to understand the language to know that CHINA WON EVERY SINGLE MEDAL FOR DIVING OMG.

I met up with my old family friend Jing Jing, and met a few new people that I didn't know (Named Zoe and Marie) but soon got to be pretty good friends. We all sort of spent time at the Expo, Pudong (the Bund), and Huang Shan, so we share the love for the Chinese orange juice and the scariness of eating a squirrel. Also, I met up with one of my second cousins Catherine, who is super awesome and smart. Graduating at a school that Hillary Clinton went to agh948t09srujksda...

I felt that my family did have a lot of bonding time together. We didn't do anything without each other. And even though I've been on several other vacations, none of them had the same level of family togetherness. This is mostly because my parents are sort of "home" again and know all of the city's secrets, I guess. Now that we're home again, both my parents have returned to work, and I am forced to stay at home with my sister and dog (of course, I'm not really complaining; neither my sister or dog really do anything to bother me throughout the day because my sister just watches animes and my dog just lays around... I wish my dog would bother me more often though because I'm SO FREAKING BORED). I have to do math and I totally don't understand radians or graphing sine waves.

Overall.

I NEED TO GET BACK TO CHINA.

Justin Beiber, the Dani Shay Look-Alike

Well... Typically, people would call Dani Shay the Justin Beiber Look-Alike. But, since Dani Shay is older, it's the other way around. :D

Looks like Beiber, eh?
No it's, no it's, no it's nottt ;)

I love her. She's so cute and funny. I saw her on America's got Talent and I hope she will win it all! She's so awesome! Dani's got talent, humour, and a great personality overall. She's totally great.

Happy Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Day!

THE DAY HAS FINALLY COME!

Ohmigosh, I've read and owned every single Harry Potter book and saw every movie. In fact, I own every movie on DVD.

If you wanted to catch up on all things Harry Potter, here's the video to do so:

I don't really know what to expect. I mean, it better be good, because a lot of people want to see it, so they really shouldn't try to go cheapo on the public. It all balances out because the whole world wants to see it.

I really hope they include the scene where Mrs. Weasley goes crazy and calls Bellatrix a bitch. Mostly because it shows her from the first 6 movies as a loving mother who has too many children and knits sweaters during her free time. Then suddenly BAM! "die bitch!" :D

Anyway, I don't really know when I will see it. And I don't know what to expect. I need to see it... >.<

I hope it's soon.

Kina Grannis

New Music Video!
I love Kina Grannis. Enjoy!
Anyway, I'm thinking of drawing something this summer. Either a portrait of Kina Grannis or a Wong Fu poster. Still deciding... Maybe I can do both! :)

Summer is annoying because I still have to do math and study and whatnot. :\ But at night I get to watch more TV so it's all good.

Until the next update, baibai!

KATIE CAME TO VISIT! :D

I haven't seen Katie, from Hong Kong, in a while, and I was super excited to hear she was coming. In fact, I couldn't wait for a whole week, and it felt like forever until Saturday 11:00 A.M. would arrive. But, it did, thankfully. ._.
During the weekend, we:

1. Ate lots of chips. I personally like the regular chips because they were saltier than the Guacamole chips. We also ate popcorn as we watched Despicable Me. We also watched lots of Disney Channel TV (Well, not me, I was playing on my iPod the whole time during that). Other movies we managed to watch were My Babysitter's a Vampire, Wanted, and some other movies that I forget at the moment.

2. Went outside. Yeah... Jumping on the trampoline was fun, but I think the more memorable thing is chasing after my dog, Felix, when we let him loose in the yard (Which we normally don't do because I wouldn't be able to catch him if I was the only one outside at the moment). And even with 4 kids, it took a relatively long time (approx. 25 minutes) to catch him. He got a lot faster than he used to be (Which is why we usually keep him on a leash). But that definitely was fun.

3. Slept in the same room. That was interesting. Especially with Katie trying to be Edward Cull-- WAIT WHAT?! Lol...

4. Next day we went to the mall. We wanted to put the convertible top down, except it was raining. I bought like 3 things, but they are 3 things that I would actually wear, so it was worth the money and time spent. Plus bonding time with Katie (Yayers!). Emma and my sister Alex stayed home, watched TV, ate food, and pretty much repeated all that we did the day before.

There is a lot more to what happened this weekend, but I don't want to bore my nonexistent readers with frivolous details. I just can't wait for the next time they come over from Hong Kong. :D

SUMMER IS FINALLY HERE! YESH.

LIFE IS PRETTY MUCH COMPLETE!

lol not really, no.

Ahhh, I'm so glad school's over. No more school work and annoying due dates for assignments... I can't believe I finished a quarter of my High School career. Personally, though, I think I could have done a lot better (cough overall average in Algebra II Honors is like an 80 T.T) and maybe not complain as much... I mean, now that I think about it, I remember complaining about at least one thing everyday, and that will be the biggest thing I remember from freshman year. From JV school soccer to math to other miscellaneous things... Yeah. Lots of stuff. However. SUMMER IS HERE. And I don't have to worry about those things anymore. My life will automatically start getting better from here on out... Lol I'll keep on telling myself this and hope that it happens >.<...

There are, however, many things that I will miss; for example having a few friends in a several of my classes. Also, my new friends that I had met at the beginning of the year going to the band room to talk and stuff everyday for all of freshman year! We may have missed... maybe 2 times because Mr. Whatshisface is like "Come on, you only have like 20 minutes left, just stay" and we're like -.- But I'm like "BUT I MUST PRACTICE!! >.<" like a good little Asian, and he lets us all go. XD

Hopefully, though, the people I am surrounded by in my classes are better next year. I mean, the only friends I had from previous years in my classes were like... One friend in math, one friend in English, two friends in World Studies, and the same two friends in Mandarin. In physics, I had to make new friends on my own. Same with lunch. Lol... But band is the same. I wasn't in the "elite" band this year, but next year I'm in Wind Ensemble, so my cravings for more difficult music will be tended to... Even though Alina isn't going to be in the only class that used to guarantee our classmateship. Ah well... Sighers.

Hopefully, I'll have more friends and people I generally like in my classes next year.

But enough about Sophomore year! Here is a list of things of things that I will attempt to do this summer:

1. Finish my CTY Online course for Pre-Calculus Honors (Yeah, Pre-Calculus Honors... Even if I'm only taking regular. Oh well, at least Sophomore year math will be easy! :D)

2. Run in the mornings when the weather is not hot and disgusting.

3. Complete a few puzzles that my parents bought for me for Christmas

4. Play Bakery Story (FTW!)

5. Possibly prepare for SATs -.-

6. Possibly go on vacation

7. Summer reading

Summer, yay... This is sooooo much better than school... Not really, no lol... Actually... No. But I'll keep on telling myself that it is.

Those are the things I have at the top of my mind at the moment. If I have anything else to add to the list, I will... Eventually.

Ugh it sucks so far because my dad blocked:

1. Gmail

2. Facebook

3. Meebo

4. Ebuddy

5. Oovoo

And this time, he realized that I have been going through with the https:// and so he COMPLETELY blocked it. I can't go on, unless I sneak onto my mom's computer. Yay...

Oh well. Summer is here, summer is here... >_>

Cougar Carnival Day

Wow it's been a while since I updated... But ah well.
There were times where I was really super busy, and others when I was... Not AS super busy. Heh. High school. 'Nuff said.

But, in rewards for our efforts, two things are happening/already happened this week.

The first had occurred yesterday, when the PTA served us ice cream. Last year, as 8th graders, they accidentally served the ice cream on the day that we came to the high school for orientation. Whoops. Anyway, the choices were either vanilla, chocolate, or mint. I took mint, just because I never get to eat that flavor at home... EXTRA WHIPPED CREAM FOR THE FRUCKING WIN.

Secondly... We will be having Cougar Carnival Day. This is pretty much the equivalent to "Field Day" in Elementary/Middle school, except instead of having us in our regular classes (like Elementary school) or just letting us hang out (like middle school), they assigned us to random groups full of random people.

Twenty-four kids per group, and six people per grade. So, we have a mix of Froshies, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. This could be acceptable, but there's another problem: It is all random. As in, people who aren't normally in your classes will be in your group. As in, you are very likely to not be with your friends. As in, a lot of people are ditching.

If they just let us choose our groups, it would probably work out better and seniors wouldn't have to be stuck with freshmen. But, according to teachers, that would go completely against what they were trying to accomplish: "Team building". Make new friends. Etc.

I mean, I have no problem against making friends. My dad always pounded the idea into my head that "There is no such thing as enough friends", and I always attempt to be friendly upon meeting new people. However, I doubt that I will retain the friends I make from this experience, mostly because none of the freshmen in my group are in any of my classes except for Symphonic Band, which has like 80 kids that don't really talk to each other and only share the common interest of music. And I don't know any of the sophomores. Or seniors. But I do know ONE junior, who is in my Mandarin 1 class, so I'm pretty excited about that...

Anyway, I'm pretty sure we're going to be able to eat outside, so I will be bringing that blanket I was forced to buy for JV. I'll probably get Alina to get hers too... And food.

Overall, I'm pretty excited for this event, just because I haven't had a recess I've had in a long time. And there will be Rita's.

Rita's saves everything.

ESL Volunteering

Okay, so... In order for me to look good for college and whatnot, I hear you have to do some sort of volunteer work. Therefore, I decided to sign up for this ESL thing...

It's pretty much a place for Kindergarteners to come and have fun... The only catch is that these Kindergarteners aren't completely fluent in English. Whoot...

We had to get there around 5-ish. We started setting up by putting the crafts together, figuring how to make a crane (which I still can't really remember...) and so many other things... It was fun! Just because there were a few kids from my mandarin class that I know decently well (3 out of the other 5 kids who came sit around me in mandarin class, the other two I have sat next to at some point in the year), and a few juniors from International Club. At first, only one of my friends had a cute little Korean girl to make necklaces with, but pretty soon there were a lot of little kids. We each had to take on at least 2 at a time, but we sort of abandoned stations and whatnot just to do other stuff.

The food was okay. Not as much as I thought there would be. And not as authentically foreign as I thought it would be... But oh well. It was food, and my dinner. I ate... All of us volunteers sat at this one table and ate.

Afterwards we just helped and whatnot. More stuff... I also braided someone's hair, yayers!

Overall pretty fun. :)

Words With Friends!

Alrighty... New post on the next day! Yay, spring break boredness~

There's this new game called Words with Friends on the iPod touch. It is... Pretty awesome.

As of now, I'm semi-ly obsessed with it, but I kind of suck. So far, it's kind of hard for me to not lose by less than 50. So... I've never won. Except when I accidently created 4 games with someone, and they forfeited 2 of them so I technically "won" 2 games. From forfeit. Yay-ers. -_-"

Anywayy... Game is fun. I like to play it when my friends, and I'm sure they all take enjoyment from beating the crap out of me, because I've played real scrabble... Once. In my life. So I'm not very good at it to begin with, which is why I get creamed everytime I go against those large-vocabularied people. Yeah.

Have fun killing me in this game lol...

Spring Break

Alrighty. Recently, I've discovered that a friend of mine whose name rhymes with Favid Dan (See what I did there?) has discovered my blog. If you happen to be reading this, and continue reading my blog, just remember that this is like my place I sometimes rant things that are stupid and usually aren't meant to be seen by others because they are so stupid, so... Don't think I'm a stupidhead. XP

Anyway........... BACK FROM SPRING BREAK! :D

I went on a cruise that went to Florida, some island, and Nassau/Paradise Island in the Bahamas.

Other than those places we've visited, life on a cruise ship consists of waking up around 9:00AM, eating a buffet breakfast (Omelettes, bacon, smoked salmon, lots of fruits, and chocolate milk), and doing whatever you want. Since there's no internet access, that leaves out Gmail and Facebook. And since I hate getting a tan (Because I am a nonweird person), I can't lay in a beach chair thing on the deck, or go swimming because of that girl... Thing. Girls, you would know what I am talking about. Anyway, I usually spent my days in our cabin with two small beds and nothing to do except play cards with my little sister on a tiny desk or watch TV. Some movies I've watched were Princess and the Frog (YESH), Alice in Wonderland (Meh), The Social Network (Mark Zuckerberg=A HUGE B!TCH@$$ J3RK cough), some other miscellaneous things that I kind of forget at this point. Then, we would eat a buffet lunch, consisting of either salad, pasta, assorted cheese, different types of fish, pizza (though I don't usually take a slice), and other things. More fruits. Some cookies. Etc. At this point we have no idea what to do. :D Walk. Talk. Blahy. Eat Dinner at the Azura restaurant. Sometimes we go to the Stardust Theatre to see if there is something interesting playing at 7:30 or 9:30. Then we go back and watch some more TV or sleep.

It was kind of... Boring. The trip in general.

We went to the NASA Kennedy Space Center (Pics on FB later). Learned about the launching of things into the sky and visiting the moon... Yeah. I'm not an astronomy nerd, unfortunately. However, I remember thinking it was interesting, and that's pretty much all I can say about that.

Next day I think we went to Port Canal? It was a beach in the Bahamas I think. Because of my girl-business, I could not swim. In the ocean. Or Snorkel. It sucked. So, I tried my best to not get tanned too much by putting 100 SPF Sunscreen on every 20 minutes or so. :D There was food, of course, so I ate. More.

Last day we were in Nassau. It was kind of boring, since we didn't know what to do. We couldn't go to this waterpark thing because the tickets sold out, so we just pretty much went to this hotel that we weren't staying at and looked around (Since it was a very fancy schmancy hotel). It was kind of bad, since it's like a "Looking at what others have that we don't have" type of scenario. We went back to the ship early because all the shops there pretty much sold knock-off brand name products.

And on the way back... Pretty much did what I said above.

Yeah... We docked at 8, got home by 11 since we had to take a taxi in NYC to the train station and go to Princeton Junction, and drive 20 minutes back home. We got Felix from our friend's house, since they were watching him. He couldn't stop panting from excitement from seeing us. Yep.

Hope spring break was good for everyone else!

WIN(D) ENSEMBLE :D

I MADE IT INTO WIND ENSEMBLE! XD
I can't believe it. This is how I found out:
On a regular, Wednesday 7th period lunch, Jill and her friends, Katie, Mira, Kaela, and Tiffany, all walk from the commons to the band room. After dropping off her backpack and getting her flute from her locker, Jill sets straight towards the wall where most events are posted. Nothing was there. So, she decided to go and check out the wall of the Band Office, where they posted sign ups for the Music of the Heart Musical. Mr K, spotting Jill from inside the glass-walled office, shouted "JILLIAN!". Jill looked up and through the glass, as Mr. K motioned for her to come in. Here was the dialogue that took place after she went in:
Mr. K: So, I'm assuming you want to find out which band you got into.
Jill: Yeah, kind of... It depends. I only want to know if I got into a good band.
Mr. K: And you want to know if you moved up, right?
Jill: ... Yeah.
Mr. K: Well Jillian... Your audition... Sucked.
Jill: -tries holding back a smile and putting up a shocked face-
Mr. K: You were just so. Bad. In fact, the only way that you were able to move out of Symphonic Band is if you learn how to play the tuba, since there are too many flutes and not enough tubas. You suck at flute.
Jill: :O
Mr. K: Now, Jillian, are you sure you still want to know what band you got into?
Jill: Well... I'm kind of afraid of being disappointed... Since I wanted to get into Wind Ensemble...
Mr. K: Good. Because you did.
Jill: O__O ?!? REALLY?!
Mr. K: Yep. -enjoying Jill's shocked expression-
Jill: Woah, I didn't expect that...
Mr. K: Your audition was one of the best auditions. So, therefore, you made it in.
Jill: -Now unable to hide her smiling- Oh my gosh...
Mr. K: Yep.
Jill: -After about 30 seconds to calm her racing mind- Wow, I'm really glad I made it. Who else made it? Angela?
Mr. K: Yep. She made it too.
Jill: -successffully contain her disappointment- ah. Any of the upperclassmen?
Mr. K: Yes. There was Joyce S, and Catherine C.
Jill: Wait what about Jessica?
Mr. K: Jessica did not make it this year. She was on the border, but we had to draw the line. But there is no doubt in my mind that she will make it senior year.
Jill: -again, disappointed, because Jessica was going to be her only friend in the flute section of Wind Ensemble- oh okay...
Mr. K: -goes on about the balance of the band so they let in more people
Jill: -nods-
Mr. K: So yep. Congratulations on making Wind Ensemble, you earned it. :)
Jill: Thank you!
-exits Band Office
... So.
I. Am.
Psyched.
WIND ENSEMBLE! :D I wasn't disappointed that Angela made it because I don't like her. In fact, I actually enjoy talking to her in band class because she's usually very nice to me... But I thought I was one of the only special 2 or 3 people that made it in. Not one of 4. 4 is... Completely different. And apparently they let in Jessica later (YESHH) so it's 5, which made me feel less special. I'm so controversial to myself a lot... >.> But yeah. HAPPYNESSS--I KNOW I SPELLED THAT INCORRECTLY BUT IM TOO HAPPY TO CARE!

Birthday Present Ideas?

I really can't think of any birthday gift ideas. Going out to buy something isn't as memorable, in my opinion, but I don't really have much time to make stuff. For one of my friends, I'm considering to make a pokéball <--see, I'm so devoted that I memorized how to make an e with an accent (ALT 233). But I don't know, because I'm sure there are other things I could make, and yet I can't think of anything because I'm so stupid.

Ah well, sighh...

School's going pretty well. Now that we're doing Conics/Analytical Geometry, I feel like I can raise my average from a 79 to possibly over a 90! Yes. It is possible. Possibly. >.>

As for flute and stuff... I've had the epiphany that I've been regressing in ability for my flute since I've started 9th grade band. Mr. Heller, your work has all been wasted, because Mr. Warshafsky treats us as if we can't even play an F# scale if asked to do so... Oh wait, most people don't even know how to do that... Oh well. WIND ENSEMBLE, LET ME IN!

Uh... Yeah. Today is like the fourth day of spring and it snowed. It also hailed on Monday. Global Warming? Hah. I guess 2011 is preparing us for the disaster of 2012...

I really want it to be spring so I can start taking artsy photos of flowers (I love it when they turn out EPICALLY AWESOME). Yeah. Plus, I was never much of a photographer, but I just hate being envious of those artsy photographers out there, so... I guess practice makes perfect? Plus I want more prettier Facebook profile photos...

Ah... Oh, and I'm not taking AP Chem next year. I mean, I kind of hate the idea of being one of the only Asians not taking one of our first APs in high school (Though I am taking APUSH), but I don't want to risk having Dr. Sun, who fails everyone. And only half the people get Bulusu, so I don't want to just pray and hope because, really, that does nothing. I just hope that the people who think they're hot shit and AREN'T going to fail AP Chem (or just think they're SOO LUCKY that they don't get Dr. Sun) get Dr. Sun, and fail. No offense to my friends... And I apologize for the bitterness. My dad said I'd have AP Chem. So, my mentality is, If *I* Can't pass it, then NO ONE SHOULD. I'm a little ray of sunshine, ain't I? ^3^ <--Sorry for the fake smiley thing...

I also have to figure out more scheduling issues (as in, when will I take my career exploration class, etc.). But I think I should end this blog entry because no one really cares about my problems... Yeah. Cyaa!

Quick-ish Update on My Life

Random Updations:

I used to be really obsesed with boots and stuff. I really like the Steve Madden Kallee Boots (right) because they seem so awesome! I mean, I could do without (as I have been for the whole winter, alternating between 2 pairs of jeans for about 3 months and 2 jacket-sweater Northface things as my sweater everyday). I mean... It's not like I need them, but I want them. Plus it's almost spring so it should all be going ON SALE now. :D

Another thing that I'm randomly obsessing over (again) are Ray-Ban Aviator Sunglasses. This is because they are awesome and make people look tougher than they actually are, but they're soo cool too! I'd rather wear those than the oversized ones because... Huge sunglasses make my face feel weird. Here's a picture of them:

AREN'T THEY COOL?! Alina thinks they're hippie sunglasses, but whatever. I still like them

Plus, if I ever go to the beach, I'm going to need sunglasses, and we may go to a beach over spring break so yeah. :)

... According to wikipedia, they were called Aviators because pilots used them a lot. Which adds more to the coolness effect.

Anyway... Stuff. Yeah.

  1. I had my audition for flute this week. I took the piece to my flute teacher on Saturday, practiced 4 hours when I got home on the same day and another 4 the next day and another 2 on Monday (the day before my audition). I wasn't really able to play it as fast as Emmanuel Pahud, but... Blah. When it was my turn to go, I took too many breaths for the Concertino, and I don't think my vibrato was strong enough. Here's a video on the Concertino (By Cecile Chaminade):
  2. Well, Uh... We're learning about Energy in physics class. Nate helped me reluctantly, which he does about everything related to me now, and now I kind of understand. Of course, the "You're thinking too hard"s didn't really help me to think LESS hard, but whatever, I kind of get the pie charts now. And the unhappiness I had a few weeks ago is almost gone... It was gone for a few days but came back when I realized how I living at the moment wasn't really working out for me (in other words, not talking/saying stuff I want to say because I know it'll jeopardize the already-broken friendship). Ah well
  3. Hm... Spring break is coming soon! :) I can't wait... I just don't want to go to school anymore at the moment... I really need a break from some drama in my life (number 2 being the biggest piece of drama ever...)
  4. I have a social studies project thing, and I'm doing Rasputin. Don't do this, but if you search "Rasputin" in Google Images, you will see... How "Gifted" Rasputin was... Yeah...
  5. I have an English project thing... About the presidents during the 1950s. I kinda don't want to do it, but it's a group project so if I don't do my part, my groupmates will hate me. So, yeah. I just find that the Presidents of the time is the worst choice we could've taken, because there was Music/Art/Social problems/Fashion/Inventions/A lot of other things that we could've chosen instead. But Virag was like "This is the EASIEST topic we could've chosen!" Uh, not really. Because Music/Art/Television (Which was invented during this time) are all under one topic, so it's very broad and MUCH EASIER TO DO. Sigh...

Ah well. That's my life, as of now. I hope it improves/doesn't get any worse. Ciao for naoww :)

Asian Hairstyles

Today, I will randomly rant about:

ASIAN HAIRSTYLES

Okay, so... Why are they always so... Dramatically layered? And why must they all have BANGS? I mean sure, when I was young, I had bangs. But now I find that they always get in the way of my face and I find it completely irritating.

And also, why must they curl their hair? In my opinion, curled hair is very hard to manage. And plus, when you use a curling iron, it's as hot as a stove frying eggs for breakfast, no joke... I mean, I use my straightener, but since my hair is usually kind of semi-ly straight already, I don't really need to keep the heat in it for too long. But curling your hair... Plus, it's hard to manage in my opinion.

And the dyed hair... Oh my gosh...

I mean, why not be comfortable with the black hair you were born with? I personally love my black hair, even though it's a bit plain, but... I mean seriously. Sometimes they dye their hair blonde, but their eyebrows and eyelashes are still black... It cracks me up. :D

And like... In this photo, the girl is wearing contacts. Brown Contacts. Why?

Michelle, if you happen to read this, I love you and all, but this is just my opinion.

And... Yeah. Sorry about the rant. It's just because when I was going to get a haircut, I googled "medium Asian hair" for hair ideas and the picture is one of the many curled-dyed-hair-with-bangs hair...

Spain Trip! --That I'm not going on

Hai, all!

This is a rant about a trip that some students in my school are going to, and I am not. The trip is to Spain (Yes, España), and the only way you can go is if you are:
1. An upperclassman, or
2. A freshman in marching band

What I don’t understand is WHY THE HELL DO YOU HAVE TO BE IN MARCHING BAND to be eligible to go on this trip? It’s not like they are better at playing their instrument. I mean, the best freshman flutist in marching band in is one chair lower than me in Symphonic Winds. Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against the people... Just the system.

Even some of the sophomores are not as good as me, and yet they get to go because they’re older, and more “mature”. And even maturity isn’t the case! One of my sophomore friends is going yet he has the maturity level of a 2nd grader.

I mean, sure, if they’re actually better than me, and they’re willing to pay $3,000 bucks, then by all means, I’d have no complaints. But, some people just are so bad at their instruments, yet they’re going too! I mean, this isn’t the case for most people, but still…

If I had it my way, I’d say that if you have the skill level, then you should be allowed to go to Spain, whether you’re only a freshman or not. And if you don’t meet requirements (in other words, you suck at your instrument), you shouldn’t be allowed to go.

If I had it my way, I’d be going to Spain.

NJ Devils vs. Florida Panthers Hockey Game Fun-ness :]

On Friday, February 4th, I and a bunch of people from the Montgomery High School Marching Band/Regular band program went to the Prudential center to play the National Anthem for the game. It was pretty awesome! :)

T'was Friday, the fourth of February, otherwise known as the last day of midterms for us high schoolers. I, fortunately/unfortunately (however you'd like to look at it), had already finished my midterms, so on Friday, the only ones left were my "lunch midterm" and "band midterm". Lunch, as you can guess, had no actual midterms. I hung out with Grace, Jimmy, and a bunch of new people I didn't know. I beat them in Egyptian Rat Screw and "BS" (card games), but got destroyed in President. >.>

Then, for my band midterm, we just sight read a lot of the music. I was pretty pissed that our grade was going to be the average of all of our assessments of ourselves, especially because I actually practice and work hard. The way I see it is this: Why should someone who practices and puts effort into something get a 50% because it was the average of that person with someone else? -.- Mhm...

Anyway, later on, when school was over, we loaded the buses to go to the Devil's game. Alina and I sat in the back, even though most of the people I would normally talk to were in the front (but I didn't know that when I chose the seats). And also, the back was "Couple's Corner", apparently, and that's where the couples... Do stuff. Yeah...

Anyway, I don't think Alina was TOO pissed at me. I got a text from Elizabeth of a picture of herself in a gangstah cookie-monster hat. Oh Elizabeth...

When we got there, we put our instruments together, and left the bus. As we entered the building, we had to be checked for metal and stuff (so I had to take out my iPod/Phone, etc.) and we were all waiting in a line for us to receive our seat tickets from Mr. Muzurkowitz and have them be scanned by this lady, ride up two flights of escalators, and go arrange ourselves by sections (tubas first, flutes last).

Haha when we were still walking, I took a peek inside the stadium and was like "woah did you see how big that thing is?" and Harry started snickering, and I was like "-.- I mean, uh-- Did you see how big the STADIUM is?" to which he responds "THERE you go! :D" haha... Pervert. XP

Anyway, we took our seats and stuff. The seats are really steep, it's unbelievable. When I was walking to my seat, I almost got dizzy and fell... Mr. Kahalahoe was telling everyone to move faster "because if you fall, you'll fall into me" (he was standing at the bottom).

We warmed up a few times and started playing stuff as the crowds were walking in. At first there wasn't a lot of people but I guess they were all at the bar or something.

Here's a recording of us playing (I couldn't find the actual thing on TV), but I found this video by Alex/Nick's dad:

It was pretty awesome. I'm right next to Grace, and Alina's next to me but you can't really see her.

I saw people skate into each other and they almost even started a fight! Everyone's like "FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!" and stuff... And the funniest part is when every time the Devils score, the crowd goes "HEYY-- YOU SUCK!" like 3 times along with the music that goes on when they score. XD I mean, I was like ":O Bad sportsmanship!" and stuff like that, but Grace explained to me how New Jersians/Yorkers were extremely rude at these kinds of things, so it's expected.

Overall, the game was really fun! My parents think I dented my flute from the game though, so they claim that they're not allowing me to go next year if we get invited again (even though it's really from me dropping it when Mr. Warshafsky made us listen to this really long song during band like two weeks ago... But I didn't have the guts to tell them. Plus, they're mad, but they're not THAT mad, since they think I'm telling them right away when it happens... I love how I'm still talking about this, and assuming that they won't be reading thi--) but it's the experience that counts, right? :)

Pretty Picture

I was looking through deviantart and came across this picture--------->

IT'S SO PWETTYYY!! ><
I'm trying to replicate it right now, but I know it wouldn't turn out nearly as nice as this one. Goshdarnit, if only I could take art as well as band...

Or, if I went to Chinese school and took art lessons there... Or better yet, if my mom finally got me those art lessons she promised me 6 years ago... Ah well. Enjoy the pic! It's by ~illogan (Find Your Fun).

SOO PWETTYYY.

R&J Rant

Hiyaa! I haven't been updating recently, mostly because midterms are coming up. But, I will spend a decent amount of time today writing this blog entry. Today's is about Romeo and Juliet. With a little bit of ranting on English/my English teacher and other misc. stuff. :)

~~
Alrighty, so we're reading Romeo and Juliet in English right now. Yippee! I was dreading reading it initially, for when everyone else read The Merchant of Venice, another Shakespearean play, our team (Team B) did not actually read the Shakespearean language. However, when we started reading R&J in class, it wasn't that bad. Plus, I saw the 1996 version up to the balcony scene, so I knew pretty much what was going on... Yeah...

That's pretty much the good thing. Plus it being not as boring as I had expected, and the plot to be okay-ish. However, here are the list of the CONS of my English class in general:

1. We have an essay to write about it, due tomorrow
2. Our English teacher is so biased against what my essay is about. She thinks everything that happened was because of fate, while I think that the decisions of all the characters ultimately lead to the ending on the story
3. Eh... Midterms are gonna be brutal, especially with Romeo and Juliet. Plus, I didn't even read Great Expectations.

Romeo and Juliet... I have a problem with how it's NOT FATE that decides their fortunes. I mean, it's all cause and effect. The only reason Juliet dies is because Romeo kills himself. And the only reason Romeo kills himself is because he THOUGHT Juliet died. And the only reason he thought Juliet died was that Juliet drank this potion that was going to make her wake up anyway. I mean COME ON, Romeo didn't HAVE to kill himself, he even said "Death may take the honey from thy lips but has not yet any effect on thy beauty", which means JULIET IS GOING TO WAKE UP GOSH DARNIT.

And I mean, Mercutio didn't HAVE to challenge Tybalt, who kills Mercutio, and is slain by Romeo. Just because Mercutio was being stupid, that causes Romeo to kill Tybalt. But really, Romeo didn't HAVE to kill Tybalt. "O, I am fortune's fool!" Damn right you are, Romeo... If you didn't kill Tybalt, you wouldn't have to flee, and if Tybalt were still alive, Lord Capulet wouldn't have forced Juliet to marry Paris.

And even BEFORE that, if that servant sent by Lord Montague knew how to EFFING READ WORDS OFF A LIST, and not have Romeo come to the party, then he wouldn't have met Juliet and NONE OF THE TROUBLE WOULD HAVE STARTED. I mean seriously. It's Capulet's fault for choosing the ONLY. EFFING. SERVANT. WHO. CANNOT. READ.

Physics With My Dad

So... I'm failing physics.

I currently have a 24% average in physics. So it's not an Asian fail. It's legit fail.

My dad, because he cares for me oh-so-much, has decided that I will be studying physics 'til midnight for a lot of school nights. Like last night... And I missed the bus this morning. Yeah.

The worst part is that his physics "lessons" don't really teach me anything. I mean, most of the time, he has me guessing the answers, and then I see it fit, but I'd have to gues what to do before I plug it in, and about 90% of the time, my guess is always wrong.

My mom made a really good analogy of how my dad teaches me:

You cannot ask an illiterate to tell you the alphabet. You cannot just say, "A to Z. What's in between?" you have to TELL him, and help him understand.

Let's just say... If we were to translate this case, I'm the illiterate, the alphabet is physics, and my dad pretty much just says, "Physics. How do you do it?" and has me guessing. Fail...

Anyway, my parents found out I am currently failing today. I mean, I knew I did bad on the test, but I didn't think I would've gotten a 0/5, a 1/5, and a 2.6/5. The average of all 3 got my average of the class to be a 24%. Joy... And they would've forgiven me if I told them I actually had a test, and I had studied more during winter break, but now even my mother has turned against me.

The only way to have me not fail is if I ace the midterms (which, as anyone who knows Jill would know, is almost impossible), because according to my dad, the Physics Board or whatever decided not to allow reassessments anymore, even though I understand most of what my dad is teaching about the @$$essment I failed.

So, tomorrow is a snow day. Guess what I will be doing tomorrow, ALL DAY?

... I could cry just thinking about it.

More Drama! :D/-.-/>:(

If you couldn't tell, the ":D" in my status was sarcastic. DRAMA. SUX. Especially rumors.

So, apparently Ellie thinks Nate and I are going out, though we show no signs of liking-ness nor going-out-ness. I JUST ASK HIM FOR HELP ON PHYSICS. And pour other drama onto him and wait for him to tell me that drama in high school is stupid. But that's mostly because he's Alina's friend, and I have decided to befriend him so we can share friendiness with Alina.

Anyway, apparently Ellie is telling people "Nate and Jill are going out!" I mean wtf lol. Not that there's anything wrong with Nate, but like... C'mon, why don't you start rumors about anyone else? The only thing that Nate and I have in common is that we're:
  1. semi-ly smart/nerdy/geeky
  2. both in band
  3. play soccer...

Yeah, that's all I can think of at the moment. Even Kevin W... "Aww you two would make a cute couple!" AGHAOWEIFJSDLKFJOQW$(@#)%IRSDKFJKXCMLQ...

So yeah. It's not like I have anything against Nate, but I really don't want people thinking we're dating. T.T

Happy New Year!

Okay, so it's New Year's! First post of 2011! :)

Over the break, I had a bunch of fun. For everything I did during Xmas and before, see the previous post. After xmas, I saw Tangled with friends, went skiing with a family friend, and hung out at home. Pretty good break!

On New Year's Eve, I went with my family to a family friend's house (the same family we went skiing with). They had GOAT CHEESE which tasted ahhmazing. Legit. I had so much appetizers (3 different types of cheese cubes and that goat cheese yumminess) that I got a stomachache for the rest of the time. Ah well. It was worth it. We also played scattergories and scrabble. :D

Counting down to the New Year was interesting... When they showed 50 seconds of the year 2010 left, memories suddenly started flashing in my mind. It was weird. Starting from Jan 1st, 2010. I left the Asian party, and knew I wouldn't see a specific someone for a long time. JustWondering drama. Then I get over JustWondering. Then Astatine drama. Then AC Drama. Then Computer drama. Then Hershey Trip (<3). Then the end of school. Then summer. Beach soccer. Mall trip. Summer school. Elizabeth moves away... China, and then the start of High school. Excitement and nervousness. Then the realization that high school is going to be a lot harder than Middle school. Then the realization that high school really isn't that bad. Thanksgiving. More school. Then formspring drama. Then Winter break. Then New Years. Wow. Lots of fragments. :D

That all flashed in my mind for about 40 seconds. When we were counting down TEN, NINE, EIGHT, SEVEN... I was thinking, What is my New Year's Resolution? THREE, TWO, ONE.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

On the downside, the next day was completely devoted to Physics, the class that no one cares about except for my dad. I stayed up 'til 11:30 doing physics and ended up sleeping at 12. That explains my dark circles today, btw. And yeah.

I hope this year will be a good one. :]
